Terms of Service

Last updated May 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NARL website and related services (the “Service”), operated by NARL (“Not Another Rocket League”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

NARL is a fan-run, community Rocket League circuit. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Psyonix, Epic Games, Valve, or Discord.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You must also be permitted to use Discord and Rocket League under their own terms.

Accounts

You sign in to the Service using Discord. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, for keeping your Discord account secure, and for promptly notifying us if you suspect your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may optionally link a Steam or Epic Games account so that your in-game Rocket League activity can be credited to your NARL profile. You are responsible for ensuring that the gaming accounts you link actually belong to you. Linking, attributing, or playing on a gaming account that is not yours — including the use of boosted, purchased, or shared accounts — is grounds for removal from the league.

Community conduct

You agree to use the Service in a way that is respectful to other players, staff, and viewers. Without limiting this, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or target other users on the basis of identity or personal characteristics.
  • Post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes real-world violence.
  • Impersonate another player, team, caster, or NARL staff member.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service except through any feature we explicitly provide for that purpose.

Competitive integrity

Participation in NARL events is conditional on competing fairly. You agree not to engage in any conduct that compromises the integrity of a match, a season, or the league. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using cheats, exploits, scripts, or third-party software that gives any unfair in-game advantage.
  • Smurfing, account-sharing, or playing under another person's identity.
  • Intentionally losing, manipulating bracket placement, or colluding with opposing teams.
  • Betting on, or facilitating betting on, matches in which you are participating.
  • Falsifying match results, replays, screenshots, or other evidence submitted to admins.

NARL admins may investigate suspected violations, request replays or other evidence, and impose penalties including warnings, forfeits, removal from the current event, or a ban from future events.

Teams, rosters, and registration

Team captains are responsible for ensuring that every player on their roster has linked their gaming accounts, meets the eligibility requirements for the division or tournament they are entering, and understands these Terms. Rosters lock and sub windows are communicated per season; missing a deadline can affect your team's eligibility.

User content and broadcasts

Your content. You retain ownership of any content you submit (for example, a team name, logo, or replay). By submitting content, you grant NARL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, broadcast, and create excerpts of that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the league.

Match footage and statistics. Matches played in NARL events may be observed, recorded, cast, streamed, and archived. By participating you grant NARL the right to use match footage, in-game statistics, your in-game and display name, and your team branding in coverage of the league.

Third-party rights. You agree not to submit content that infringes another party's intellectual property rights, including logos or trademarks you do not have permission to use.

Prizes

Prize pools, prize distribution rules, and any associated tax reporting requirements are described per event. Prizes are only awarded to participants who complied with these Terms and the applicable event rules. NARL may withhold prizes pending the outcome of an integrity review.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, the rules of an event, or applicable law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties including Discord, Supabase, Twitch, YouTube, Steam, and Epic Games. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their conduct or content.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NARL disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NARL and its organizers, volunteers, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, prizes, ranking, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced through the Service or our community channels. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which NARL operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
